Despite fluctuations, 10% of high schoolers and 4.6% of middle schoolers currently vape, with nearly half expressing a desire to quit.

Between 2017 and 2022, average nicotine concentrations in disposable e-cigarettes surged 294%, exacerbating dependence risks. While flavors can enhance cessation success for cigarette smokers, they also significantly heighten vaping’s abuse potential among youth.
